TAX CONCESSIONS
Even today Exemption from Levy of Central Sales Tax to SSI / MSI / LSI Unit is available for a period of 15 years / 10 years / 5 years respectively for new Industries to be located in Daman as per Notification No. DMN/CST/35/2054 dated 5th February, 2003 and for a period of 15 years for new Industries to be located in the U.T. of Dadra & Nagar Haveli as per Notification No. DNH /CST / 35 / 1935 dated 5th February, 2003. There is NO OCTROI DUTY, NO TURNOVER TAX & NO ENTRY TAX.
Fuel Economy
In comparison to Gujarat State and Maharashtra State, the power cost is Rs.2.92 per unit in H.T. & L.T. connections, which is almost half of the rates prevailing in these States. The rates of Diesel & Petrol are lower by about 3% to 5% when compared with rates prevailing in the state of Gujarat & Maharashtra.
